Be a GAiN UK Collection Point

An opportunity to help people in poverty and crisis by acting as a local collection point for a variety of aid items, such as clothes, nappies, toiletries, bedding, towels, toys, etc.

Be a GAiN Collection Point

A collection point is an individual or a group of people (like a community centre or a church) who have some available space and are happy to collect aid items from their local area.

Those items can then be collected regularly by GAiN UK to be packed and delivered to those in need.

GAiN UK exists to demonstrate unconditional love to people in crisis through relief and development projects around the world.

For anyone who has been looking for a practical way to respond to the needs of people in poverty and crisis around the world.

All you need to get involved is a little bit of space in your house, or a place where you can keep donated items. You may want to ask a local church or community centre to partner with you in providing storage.

We will ask for some contact details to put on our website so that people in your local area can contact you to donate.

From there your community is your oyster. You can wait and let people contact you to donate, or you can come up with your own ways to help other people get involved in supporting those in poverty and crisis situations. This might be through a message on a neighbourhood forum, contacting local businesses, or arranging a packing party where people come and help you sort items ready to be shipped.

For a full list of what to collect see our website

Whenever you are ready for us to pick up your collections, you just liaise with us and we will do the rest.

Take a look at the current collection points map on our website www.globalaidnetwork.org.uk

If you have a heart for those affected by poverty and crisis, volunteering as a GAiN UK collection point is a great way to get involved.

You might also see this as a way to connect with others in your community who share the same heart.

It might even be a first step in getting more involved practically in humanitarian relief and development.

“It was a rewarding experience seeing my collection grow from nothing to a huge pile in just a few weeks as people’s generosity and goodwill was unearthed. It really tapped into the desire of so many people to want to help; my role was really very minimal.”

“Nice to be able to give an outlet to local people’s desire to help those in need, especially in these troubling times”

Nothing apart from a bit of your time
