Living & Telling
Living & Telling is designed to inspire, encourage and enable you to help others discover Jesus and to do that naturally as a way of life.
It’s a 10-part video-led training series which is downloadable for FREE. It can be run live in small or large groups, or online via Zoom. You will need to purchase printed Participant’s Journals and other resources to enable each person to get the most out of the material.
The Bible urges Christians to “always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have, with gentleness and respect” (1 Peter 3:15).
Living & Telling will help you prepare to talk about Jesus and have conversations about faith in normal, natural ways that aren’t uncomfortable or annoying! It will also help you live consistently in dependence on God in ways that demonstrate what it means to follow Jesus.
The course is grounded in the Scriptures and intensely practical, so you’ll be getting into the Bible but also doing what it says.
The wide range of presenters make the content clear and simple to engage with.
You don’t need to be a teacher to run Living & Telling. The highly interactive videos do all the hard work so anyone can do it! All you need is a passion to help more people discover Jesus together and for more Christians to join in the adventure.
To run the course, you will need a Leader’s Guide and a set of the training videos. For each participant on the course, you will also need a copy of the Living & Telling Journal, the Knowing God Personally booklet, the Five in Focus prayer card and THE FOUR wristband. To run it on Zoom you will also need to download the Online Leader’s Guide and the Online Participant’s Guide.
Details on how to access these are given in the What’s the next step? section below.
The course can be run with groups as small as half a dozen and as large as 100. It can also be used in one-to-one mentoring. Most sessions take under an hour and can be run over a series of evenings or even a long weekend.
It was originally developed for use by adults of all ages and backgrounds. More recently it has been used to prepare teenagers about to leave school. The latest version of this tried and tested resource has been refined for use by Christians aged 16 to 116.
All the videos and the Leader’s Guide can be downloaded for free.
Printed Journals for participants can be bought for £4 each or £3 each if buying 10 or more.
The Knowing God Personally booklets are £7.50 for a pack of 25, the Five in Focus prayer cards are £3.00 for a pack of 25 and The FOUR wristbands are £1.25 each.

When you are ready to go ahead, click on the button to ‘buy this resource’. (Remember most of the materials are free). The resulting page enables you to select from the range of materials available.
If you are planning to run the course with a gathered group, you should select the Living & Telling Leader’s Guide (free download) and enough Journals for all those taking part.
If you plan to run it on Zoom you should select the ONLINE Leader’s Guide (free download with guidance on how to manage the Zoom experience), plus the ONLINE Guide for Participants (free download with advice for those taking part on engaging with the Zoom sessions and copies of all the ‘handouts’). In addition, you will still need to order Living & Telling Journals for everyone.
The same page has links to the Five in Focus prayer card, Knowing God Personally booklet and THE FOUR wristbands. We recommend you add all these to your order, whether your group is gathered or on Zoom.
When you place an order including Access to the Video Sessions, you will receive an email with a link and password to a page that enables you to stream or download the 10 videos (available in Standard or High Definition). The same page will give access to some church leader videos on how to make the most of Living & Telling.
